Why it matters

404 Chicken is one of the two confirmed S-tier carries on our tier list, alongside the Mythic Thunder Rooster. Its rarity is the difference: Thunder Rooster has a documented hatch route; 404 Chicken is a Secret draw with no published odds.

How to get it

Community reporting has now pinned two documented sources for the 404 Chick:

Both rates are community-sourced, not developer-published — treat them as targeting aids. No official odds exist for Secret-rarity draws, so the rarest fighters in the game list 404 Chick and community reporting points to the highest-rarity egg pools as the realistic hunting ground. Check our how to get rare chickens guide for the targeting strategy.

Don't wait on it

Secret draws can take a very long time. Build your roster with A-tier staples while you hunt — if the 404 Chicken lands, it upgrades your ceiling. If it doesn't, your run still moves.

How to build around it

When you hatch one, fuse a strong trait onto it and make it your permanent PIT fighter. Pair it with the money loop so its damage earns Cash in the background, then push the TOWER on boost windows. As floors slow, rebirth to compound the permanent bonus.

The community-reported top build is the 404 x Ash fusion — fuse a Radiant Fenghuang donor onto the 404 to lock the Cycle of Ash skill. See the full build guide for both parts and the fusion steps.

Common questions

Is 404 Chicken the best unit? It's top of the meta alongside two other confirmed S-tiers (Thunder Rooster and the seasonal Snowman Chicken). With bad traits it can still be out-muscled — always compare level, attack, rarity and traits before trusting a name.
