Why it matters

The Cursed Egg is the mid-game bridge to Secret-tier birds. It fills the gap between the Scratch Egg ladder and the Void Egg endgame — and it is the community-reported source for the 404 Chick, the Secret carry on our tier list.

How to get Cursed Eggs

Cursed Eggs are not bought — they're laid. The community-reported farming chain is:

  1. Hatch a Scratch Egg layer. Start from Nest Eggs and target a hen with a high Scratch Egg lay chance, such as the Cosmo Brat.
  2. Farm Scratch Eggs. Let the hen lay and open Scratch Eggs until you hatch the NPC Chick.
  3. Let the NPC Chick lay Cursed Eggs. The NPC Chick is the community-documented Cursed Egg layer — park it in your plot and collect.

Rates are community-reported

The exact lay and hatch percentages come from community guides, not the developers. We don't assert them as verified — use them as a targeting aid, and read the egg index in-game before you commit your Cash. See how to get rare chickens for the broader targeting strategy.

What can it hatch

The headline hatch is the 404 Chick — a Secret-rarity S-tier carry. Community footage also groups Cursed Eggs with the higher-end fighter pools, so treat it as your Secret-tier hunting ground before the Void Egg unlocks.

Best way to use it

Open Cursed Eggs when you're mid-game and chasing Secret-tier draws. Keep the "read the pool, not the name" rule: if the 404 Chick is your target, this is the documented route; otherwise compare with the Thunder Egg value pick. Feed any duplicates into fusion to lock a strong trait.

On the numbers

Lay and hatch figures are community-reported and unverified — treat them as targeting aids and confirm the in-game egg index.

Why the chain matters

Cursed Eggs are the clearest example of a supply chain rather than an egg. You cannot buy them, you cannot brute-force them with Cash, and there is no shortcut around the NPC Chick — so progress means working the chain in order: a Scratch-laying hen, then Scratch Eggs, then the NPC Chick, then Cursed Eggs. Each stage feeds the next, and skipping one simply stops the pipeline. The players who reach the 404 Chick are the ones who treated it as infrastructure and kept every link running.
