Don't fuse your only one
Fusion consumes the donor. Never fuse your only Radiant Fenghuang — wait for a spare, or your run keeps its current best unit and loses the Cycle of Ash source.
How to build around it
The community-reported top build is the 404 x Ash fusion: set the 404 Chick as the base and the Radiant Fenghuang as the donor, then lock Cycle of Ash in the fusion preview. One wrong click consumes both chickens — always check the preview before confirming.
If you want to keep the Fenghuang as your active fighter instead, slot it in the PIT and run the money loop so its damage earns Cash in the background, then push the TOWER on boost windows.

Fenghuang as fighter vs donor
The decision that defines a Royal Egg run is whether your first Radiant Fenghuang stays a fighter or becomes the Cycle of Ash donor. If your current carry is weaker than the Fenghuang, field it and bank the donor plan for a spare; if you already own a stronger S-tier carry, the Fenghuang's highest use is the fusion. What you must not do is send your only copy into a fusion you are not certain about — the preview confirms exactly what is consumed, so read it twice before you confirm.
