Eclipse Hen — Grow a Chicken Fighter

Why it matters

Update 2 (Aug 23, 2026) shipped the Ascension Egg, a chicken arena and rebirth milestones, plus five new chickens. The Eclipse Hen is the rarest of the five — a 1% hatch — and the new S-tier standard for end-game rosters. See where it sits on the full tier list.

Rarity & stats profile

Exact base stats are not yet published. Community tier-list coverage ranks it above every other new Update 2 chicken — and above most of the old roster — but its special ability still needs field testing against maxed units.

How to get Eclipse Hen

The Eclipse Hen hatches exclusively from the Ascension Egg, the end-game egg added in Update 2. The full hatch table:

Expect to open many Ascension Eggs before the Eclipse Hen appears. Every duplicate still feeds fusion — a strong trait on a duplicate is worth locking.

How to use Eclipse Hen

  1. Hatch it before you spend it. The community advice is explicit: never fuse a rare new chicken before previewing its special — a locked-in special you don't want can sink a late-game build.
  2. Test it against proven maxed units. Level it and compare against Storm Colossus, Reaper Rooster + Voodoo, 404 Chick + Cycle of Ash and Nebula Hen. New does not automatically mean better.
  3. Keep the first hatch safe. With a 1% draw, treat your first Eclipse Hen as a keeper until the meta test is done.

Common questions

Eclipse Hen vs. Seraph Rooster? Both are Ascension Egg exclusives, but Eclipse (1%) is five times rarer than Seraph (5%) and ranks a full tier above it. Seraph is the better early investment — keep the first one you hatch; Eclipse is the long chase.

Can free-to-play players get Eclipse Hen? In theory yes — the Ascension Egg route itself is not pay-gated, but the 1% rate makes it a long end-game grind.
