1. Read the egg index first
Every egg type shows the fighters available in its pool. Open the egg's details and scan the pool before spending any Cash. A Nest Egg shows common fighters; Scratch, Thunder, Royal and Void eggs pull from progressively rarer pools.
2. Pick your open action
Confirm the egg you want, then open it. The hatch consumes the egg and gives you a fighter from that pool. Duplicates are not wasted — they become fusion fuel.
3. Review the result
After hatching, check the fighter's name, rarity, level and role. Compare it against the chicken list to see where it lands on the tier list.
4. Set a stopping point
The fastest way to burn your balance is unlimited hatch spamming. Set a rule: open at most three eggs per session, or stop once you hit a fighter you wanted. Protect your upgrade budget with the resource calculator.

5. Understand what you are actually rolling
A hatch rolls two things that players often conflate: the chicken, and its rarity and traits. The chicken comes from the pool the egg advertises; its quality comes from the separate roll behind the hatch. That is why two hatches from the same egg can be worth very different amounts, and why reading the pool tells you what you can get but not what you will get. Treat each open as a sample from a distribution rather than a purchase — the expected outcome, averaged over many opens, is what the pool actually offers you.
6. The hatching discipline that saves your account
Because hatching is the most tempting way to spend, it is also the fastest way to stall. Four rules keep it healthy:
- Never open on an empty reserve. Keep the balance the calculator flags as protected so the loop keeps running.
- Target a specific outcome. Open toward a donor or a carry you actually need, not out of curiosity.
- Hatch in batches. If you are chasing a low-rate pull, batch your opens so the odds smooth out instead of trickling one egg at a time.
- Feed the failures forward. Every duplicate you did not want is either a donor or a sale — nothing from an egg is truly wasted.
7. Where hatching fits in the loop
Hatching is a step in a cycle, not a standalone activity: earn Cash, open eggs, fuse duplicates, push the tower, then reset for a permanent bonus. If you ever find yourself hatching without a goal, that is the signal to stop and return to the income steps — a full coop is only valuable if the birds in it are doing something.
